Thoughtful design.
Better first impressions.

Your packaging is often the first part of your brand that a customer sees or holds. It should explain what you sell, feel right for your audience and look consistent wherever people find you. Good packaging design is not just about making a box look attractive. It brings together brand strategy, clear product information, the right format and artwork that can be produced.

Our packaging design services are planned around real products and real business goals. We can develop an identity for a new launch, create designs for a growing product range, or refresh the packaging you already use. Each project starts with your brief, rather than a template. You know your product; our role is to turn that knowledge into a clear and useful creative direction.

Whether you are a founder with one product or a team managing many SKUs, we can help define the visual approach, design the agreed formats and prepare artwork for the next stage. We serve businesses across the United Kingdom through a collaborative design process.

Product packaging design services
built around your brief.

A strong pack has to work for the product, the customer and the printer. We scope the right design stages before work begins.

01 / STRATEGY

Research and brand positioning

We begin with your product, audience, price point, competitors and sales channels. This helps guide the tone, hierarchy and direction of the work. A packaging design consultancy approach is especially helpful if you are unsure where to start.

02 / CREATIVE

Visual identity and pack concepts

We explore layout, type, colour, imagery and messaging. If you need a packaging branding agency approach, the work can connect your logo, brand voice and graphics into one design system that grows with your product range.

03 / PRODUCTION

Layout and packaging artwork services

We apply the approved concept to your chosen formats, then build the artwork using the printer's dielines and specifications. Packaging artwork services can include variants, supplied legal copy, print marks and careful file preparation where agreed.

04 / CHANGE

Updates and packaging redesign services

Already have a pack on sale? We can improve hierarchy, update the visual style or adapt a familiar identity without losing the cues your customers recognise. We can also bring older products into a more consistent family.

Designed for the way
your product is sold.

A bottle, mailing box and stand-up pouch have different surfaces and different customer needs. We plan for the format, not just the front panel.

01

Folding cartons and boxes

Retail cartons, sleeves, gift boxes and subscription packaging. We consider the front, sides, back, opening experience and how information moves around the panels.

02

Pouches, bags and wrappers

Flexible formats for snacks, coffee, powders and refill products. Design decisions account for seals, folds, windows and usable printable areas provided by your supplier.

03

Labels, bottles and jars

Product labels, wraparound labels, bottle graphics and lid details. Clear information hierarchy matters when the available space is small or curved.

04

Tubs, tins and containers

Systems for beauty, nutrition, home and lifestyle products. We can plan a consistent visual style across container sizes and different product variants.

05

Ecommerce packaging design

Mailers, shipping sleeves, product inserts and unboxing touches. We balance brand presence with useful shipping information, durable presentation and practical fulfilment.

06

Premium and bespoke packs

For bespoke packaging design services, we can develop a distinct visual treatment and coordinate approved artwork with your manufacturer's structural specification and finishing options.

We provide creative and artwork services. Physical packaging manufacture, structural engineering, material testing and printing are separate services unless specifically agreed in writing.

Packaging that fits
your category.

Frozen food carton packaging showing colourful product photos and clear range differentiation
01 / FOOD

Food packaging design services

Snack bags, bakery boxes, confectionery, frozen food, sauces and pantry products all need a strong first impression and space for product details. We design clear ranges while leaving appropriate room for approved ingredients, allergens, weight, date and storage information.

02 / DRINKS

Beverage and drinks packaging

From coffee and tea to juice, soft drinks and other beverages, colour, contrast and flavour recognition help people find the right variant. We can work across labels, sleeves, cans, cartons and takeaway products.

03 / BEAUTY

Cosmetics, skincare and personal care

Beauty packs need to feel appropriate for the brand while making essential product information readable. We can create visual systems for bottles, jars, tubes and folding cartons, using your approved claims and required details.

04 / FMCG & CPG

Everyday consumer products

For businesses comparing an FMCG packaging design agency or CPG packaging design agency, consistency across many SKUs is often the main challenge. We can set rules for colours, layouts, product names and variants so each pack belongs to the same family.

05 / WELLNESS

Wellness, supplements and health-related products

These products may have category-specific rules for claims and labelling. We focus on readable layouts, brand clarity and fitting your approved information into the selected format. We do not independently approve health or nutrition claims.

06 / HOME & RETAIL

Homeware, pet care, gifts and lifestyle

We can design playful, minimalist or premium-looking packs for everyday products. The direction is based on your customers, product use, shelf environment and online imagery, rather than trends alone.

More than nice graphics.

Packaging graphic design needs to look good on a screen and make sense in a customer's hand.

What shoppers need to see first

The front of your pack should make the brand and product easy to recognise. A simple hierarchy can help the eye move from the name to the product type, then to the key detail that matters most. What belongs at the top depends on the customer and category.

Colour, typography and photography

Type must remain readable at the actual pack size. Colour needs enough contrast, and photography or illustration should support the product story rather than compete with important details. We check layouts at realistic scale before final approval.

One family, many products

A range can share common visual rules while giving each flavour, scent or size its own identity. We plan how names, badges, colours and product images change across versions, helping buyers recognise the brand and distinguish the product.

Branding for online and physical retail

A pack may appear as a small ecommerce thumbnail, on a supermarket shelf or in a customer's social post. We consider both the close-up and distant view, and discuss the real sales channels before selecting a visual direction.

Creative enough to stand out.
Careful enough to print.

A beautiful mock-up is not the same as a production-ready file. This is where a packaging artwork agency mindset becomes important.

Packaging prepress services and artwork checks

Where included in the project, our packaging prepress services focus on preparing and checking artwork against information from your selected print supplier. Different printers, materials and finishes need different settings, so we request the current production specification rather than relying on generic file sizes.

We can work from an approved dieline and account for folds, seals, cut lines, bleed and safe areas. We can also check whether imagery, fonts and colours are supplied in suitable formats for the agreed output. Final technical approval and proofing must be completed with your printer.

What a final handover can include

Depending on scope, deliverables may include approved artwork PDFs, editable source files, named colour or finish references, a SKU/version list and presentation mock-ups. We agree file ownership, licensing, print formats and any extra variations in the quotation so there are no surprises at handover.

If you already have a printer, please share their latest dieline and specifications at the start. If not, we can begin concept exploration and identify which production details are still needed before final artwork.

Good design also
makes room for the rules.

We design around approved information. The responsible business should confirm what its product legally needs before packaging is printed or sold.

Food labels and allergens

Depending on the product, UK prepacked food labels may need the food name, net quantity, ingredient list, highlighted allergens, date marking, storage instructions, business details and other information. We can plan space for this content, but your qualified adviser or responsible business must supply and sign off the final wording.

Beauty, supplements and other regulated categories

Different products can have different rules for ingredient details, claims, warnings, symbols and business information. We do not treat one generic checklist as suitable for every category. We ask for the approved copy and any sector-specific instructions before artwork sign-off.

Environmental claims and material choices

Paper, plastic, glass and mixed materials each bring design and production considerations. We can explore efficient layouts and discuss how choices may affect a pack's appearance and usability. Claims such as “recyclable”, “compostable” or “plastic-free” should only be used when you can support them for the actual material and market.

Extended producer responsibility (EPR)

Some UK businesses that supply or import packaged goods have obligations under packaging EPR rules. Whether those rules apply depends on the business and its activities. Our design work is not an EPR assessment or legal compliance service, and the client should check current official guidance.

The right packaging partner
for your next step.

When comparing packaging design companies, ask what is covered beyond the first concept. Some briefs need mainly a fresh visual look. Others need branding, multiple SKUs, printer communication and artwork preparation. The best scope is the one that matches where your product is today.

A product packaging design company or product packaging design agency should explain how ideas turn into useful final files. If you are choosing between a packaging design company, a packaging design agency and a small packaging design studio, compare the actual deliverables, revision limits, production knowledge and communication process—not just the pictures in a portfolio.

Looking to hire a packaging designer for a single item or a larger range? Share your available product details, deadline and approximate budget. We can explain what is realistic within an agreed package and what would need a separate quote.

Our approach combines creative exploration with clear handover requirements. We make it easy to understand the work you are commissioning, the files expected and the decisions your team needs to approve along the way.

01

Do you need a brand first?

If your identity is not settled, start by clarifying colour, typography, logo use and the story you want the pack to tell.

02

How many products or SKUs?

One design, several flavours and a full FMCG range have different production and version-control needs.

03

Who is printing it?

Knowing the supplier early helps us work from accurate sizes, materials, dielines and artwork requirements.

Tell us what you're making.
We'll help shape the next step.

You do not need a perfect brief, but a little detail helps us quote the right work.

01

Your product. What is it, who buys it and where will it be sold?

02

Packaging format. Box, pouch, label, bottle, mailer or another format?

03

Project size. How many products, sizes, flavours or variants?

04

Existing assets. Do you have a logo, brand guide, dieline and approved copy?

05

Timing. Do you have a target launch or printer deadline?

06

Budget. What range have you allowed for design and production?

We can discuss a single-product launch, bespoke artwork, ongoing range updates or wider product packaging design services.

Questions about
your packaging?

What is included in your packaging design service?

The agreed scope may include brief research, visual concepts, typography, graphics, labels, cartons, mock-ups, artwork preparation and final files. Your quote lists exact formats, concepts, revisions and deliverables.

Do you provide packaging design services across the UK?

Yes. We work with businesses across the United Kingdom through remote briefings, design presentations and review stages.

How much does packaging design cost in the United Kingdom?

Our Launch package is priced at £495 for the stated deliverables. Other package options are listed in the pricing section. Final scope, any applicable VAT, and additional costs are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Can you design packaging for a new brand with no existing identity?

Yes. We can discuss brand direction, logo use, typography, colour and pack design together. Whether brand identity is included depends on the package and agreed project scope.

Can you redesign packaging that is already on sale?

Yes. We can review your existing pack, identify what should stay recognisable and explore a new visual direction. Updated artwork for all variants is scoped separately if needed.

Do you design food packaging and beverage labels?

Yes. We can design visual layouts for food and drinks, including bags, cartons, labels and sleeves. You must provide and approve all ingredients, allergens, warnings and other legally required information.

Do you handle FMCG product ranges and multiple SKUs?

Yes. We can develop a consistent design system for different flavours, sizes or product types. Each additional SKU, format and artwork variation should be included in the agreed quotation.

Can you create ecommerce packaging and shipping boxes?

Yes. Depending on your brief, we can design printed mailers, shipping sleeves, product inserts and other unboxing graphics. Materials and physical packaging performance must be confirmed with your supplier.

Do you provide print-ready packaging artwork and prepress checks?

Print artwork can be included when we have an approved dieline and printer specification. Final printing proofs, colour production checks, barcode testing and legal sign-off remain with your printer and responsible business.

Can you provide 3D packaging mock-ups?

Presentation mock-ups can be included for the formats agreed in your project. They help you review how a design could look, but a mock-up is not a substitute for a physical production proof.

Will my packaging be compliant with UK labelling rules?

We can design space for approved label information, but we do not certify regulatory compliance. Your business should seek category-specific advice, approve mandatory copy and sign off the finished pack before sale or printing.

Can you help choose recyclable or sustainable packaging?

We can discuss visual design and work with the materials and specifications you select. Material recyclability, environmental claims, performance and EPR obligations should be verified with the appropriate specialists and current official guidance.

How long does a packaging design project take?

The timescale depends on the number of products, design concepts, review rounds and when approved content and dielines are available. We confirm a realistic timetable after reviewing your brief.

What do I need to send before we start?

Please share the product name and description, target customers, packaging type, number of variants, existing logo or brand guide, your preferred references, available dielines, approved product copy, target date and budget range.

Will I own the final design files?

Ownership and usage rights depend on the written project agreement. We identify the deliverable file types and any third-party font, image or asset licences before handover.
